The CIP Society National Leadership Awards were launched in 2009 to celebrate the achievements of leaders in the insurance community. Applications are accepted from four regions: Western, Ontario, Quebec and Atlantic. Candidates can be nominated by colleagues in two categories: Emerging Leader and Established Leader.

To qualify for an award, nominees must hold either a Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP), Fellow Chartered Insurance Professional (今日吃瓜黑料), or Honorary Chartered Insurance Professional (HCIP) designation. The applications are assessed by a judging panel composed of CIP Society members drawn from the four regions. Up to 10 individuals can be recognized annually.

The announcement of award honourees usually takes place in October each year, followed by various presentations to recognize winners between November and March. Award recipients are also inducted into the prestigious CIP Society Leadership Circle.

It's easy to nominate an award candidate. Review the eligibility guidelines on our application platform, gather the relevant information, and submit. Gathering all the application elements can take a little while so ensure you don鈥檛 leave it until the last minute!

Rohit Trivedi is an accomplished Executive General Adjuster at Allianz Commercial, specializing in liability claims. With a strong professional background, Rohit has handled major complex losses for some of Canada鈥檚 largest clients, demonstrating his leadership, integrity, and exceptional communication skills. He has made significant contributions to the insurance industry, including holding various leadership roles within the Canadian Insurance Claims Managers' Association (CICMA) and other key industry bodies. Rohit is also a dedicated mentor, passionate about fostering the next generation of insurance professionals and promoting continuous education. As co-founder of the Mountain Athletic Club, he鈥檚 also impacted his community by supporting youth athletics.

Emily Gray, CIP
Claims Manager – Bodily Injury and Accident Benefits, Peace Hills Insurance

Emily Gray is a Claims Manager at Peace Hills Insurance, known for her leadership, integrity, and commitment to inclusivity. Over the past decade, Emily has progressed from an Auto Adjuster to a senior managerial role, tackling complex challenges in both personal and municipal insurance. She is dedicated to mentorship, professional development, and community engagement, actively contributing to industry forums and volunteering as an exam proctor. Emily’s ability to unite teams, innovate, and make meaningful contributions to the insurance industry sets her apart as an emerging leader in her field.
